Khalod Almannai is a distinguished educational leader with over 21 years of experience in driving systemic change. Currently, they serve as the Director of the E-Learning and Digital Solutions Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Qatar. Alongside their departmental leadership, Khalod is also the National Leader of the Strategic Educational Technology Program, where they guide key initiatives focused on integrating technology into teaching and learning to empower e-learning ecosystems and advance digital competencies for both educators and students.
Khalod holds an Executive Master’s in Leadership from Georgetown University and a Master’s in Curriculum, Teaching, and Assessment from Qatar University.
Joining the EdTech Fellowship, Khalod seeks to leverage global expertise in educational innovation and policy. Their aim is to bridge the gap between emerging technologies and pedagogical excellence, ensuring that national efforts to enhance classroom technology are firmly rooted in evidence-based research and sustainable global best practices.
