Hassan Alsuwayed is an Advisor to the Deputy Minister for Investment and an education strategy professional with a strong focus on digital transformation, educational technology and public–private partnerships. He works on advancing the adoption of EdTech solutions and scaling digital learning models across the Saudi education ecosystem, contributing to national efforts to improve access, quality and efficiency in education.
In his current role, Hassan supports the design and implementation of programmes that enable new learning models and integrate technology into education systems. His work focuses on building frameworks that connect learners, providers and regulators, ensuring more effective and sustainable education outcomes. He is also actively involved in developing the EdTech market in Saudi Arabia, working on expanding and strengthening the role of technology in education delivery.
Hassan holds a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Science, where his thesis explored cloud-based e-learning systems in Saudi universities. His work examined how cloud computing can enhance scalability, accessibility and the overall effectiveness of higher education. He continues to apply this research in his professional work by developing technology-enabled education solutions.
Previously, Hassan contributed to several national education initiatives, including programmes aimed at expanding early childhood education access and improving education service delivery models. He also has experience in organisational design, workforce planning, and developing structured systems aligned with sector needs.
As a Fellow, Hassan looks forward to exchanging knowledge with global peers, learning from leading practices in educational technology, and contributing to the development of innovative, scalable and future-ready education systems in Saudi Arabia and beyond.
