Alonso Tenorio Trigoso

Director of Technological Innovation in Education - Ministry of Education, Peru

Mr Alonso Tenorio Trigoso is the Director of Technological Innovation in Education at the Ministry of Education of Peru. In this role, he leads national strategies that strengthen the integration of technology into the education system, supporting teachers, students, and institutions to improve learning outcomes and access to quality education. His work focuses on promoting innovation, digital transformation, and the development of sustainable technological infrastructures within public education.

He has held several leadership positions in government institutions. He served as Director of the Centre for Information and Communication Technologies (CTIC) at the National University of Engineering (2015–2020), Head of the Office of Information and Communication Technologies at the Ministry of Education (2020–2021), and Head of the Technological Infrastructure Unit at the same ministry in 2023. He was also Director of Telecommunications (DIGTEL) at the Ministry of Health from 2023 to 2024. In addition, he has been a faculty member and research professor at the National University of Engineering since 2012, where he contributes to the academic development of future professionals in computer science and engineering.

Mr Tenorio holds a degree in Computer Engineering from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and two Master’s degrees from Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha in Spain: one in Advanced Information Technologies with a specialisation in Cloud Computing, and another in Computer Engineering with a focus on research in public cloud services. He is also a candidate for a PhD in Computer Science.

He looks forward to sharing experiences, collaborating on innovative projects, and learning from peers around the world to strengthen the role of digital transformation in education systems.
