Anil Sampatrao gained a bachelor’s degree from Pune University and Bachelor of Education from Mumbai University. He then completed his master’s degree and Master of Education from the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathawada University.
As the Divisional Deputy Director of Education, he manages the administration of the 14,000 schools (both state schools as well as private school) from four to five districts. Anil covers many types of administrative as well as academic responsibilities. From recommending the proposals for new schools to open, to giving approval to the newly appointed teachers at senior secondary level, to ensuring the smooth functioning of the schools and finally regulating the service conditions of the teaching/non-teaching staff at primary, secondary and senior secondary level.
Anil is also in charge of visiting and inspecting schools to verify whether students are getting quality education. He also conducts teacher’s training and offers guidance as well as implementing the education policies taken by the government.
At present, Anil is working on one of the projects started by MPSP in collaboration with PRATHAM NGO to build ‘Mother Parents Associations’ through villages. The organization delivers special trainings to parents and groups so that they would be able to teach their school-age children and support them in their studies.
In addition, Anil is Chairman of Secondary and Higher ‘Secondary Education State Board’ of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division. The role entails conducting the State board exams of students of 10th std. which comprises of approximately 1,80,000 students and 12th std. which comprises approximately 1,70,000 students for the exam.
The HP Cambridge Edtech programme will help me not only the skilful use of technology in education, but also to understand the next challenges in education and how to overcome the same.
