Dr Dalal Alabbasi is an assistant professor in the field of educational technology. She is currently working as General Manager of the E-Learning department in Tatweer for Educational Services (Talemia) based in Riyadh, which is owned by the government of Saudi Arabia. It is the strategic partner of the Ministry of Education in developing the educational system to achieve the highest level of a global knowledge economy, and is a key arm of its projects and programmes aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
Dr Dalal holds a PhD in Educational Technology from the University of Manchester, UK, and has held multiple positions in academia. She was Chair of the Educational Leadership programme and a Faculty for Educational Technology and Research supervisor. Dr Dalal is also a co-founder for the Tazamon digital learning consultancy, which provides digital transformation services for educational institutions. In her current role in Talemia, she is leading two major transformational projects in e-learning, part of the Human Capability development programme that is part of Saudi Vision 2030. Dr Dalal worked on the project to develop a digital learning framework for the Ministry of Education, developing policies and procedures for e-learning in the Kingdom and developing operational models to solve educational problems.
Dr Dalal is a well-known figure in educational technology and has participated in local television interviews, and many conferences as a speaker at events in Saudi Arabia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and New Zealand.
