Mahmood Al Khadhuri has a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree and PhD degree from Sultan Qaboos University in Curriculum and Teaching Methods (Mathematics).
He began his career at the Ministry of Education as a teacher of Mathematics in 2000. After four years of teaching Mathematics in the Governorate of South Batinah, he was promoted as a Regional Supervisor. In 2009, he was transferred to the Department of Academic Achievement within the General Directorate of Educational Evaluation at the Ministry of Education headquarters. In 2024, Mahmood was assigned as Educational Researcher at the Center for Educational Measurement and Evaluation. In 2025, he was then assigned as a Head of the Item Bank Section.
Mahmood has also taught as a part-time lecturer in various private and governmental universities in Oman in both Mathematics and curriculum-related courses.
He has contributed to numerous projects, including authoring and adapting school mathematics textbooks in Oman, developing national assessments, contributing to the development of the Learning Management System (LMS) and improving the assessment system. He has also trained teachers, supervisors and assessment specialists on a wide range of topics related to educational assessment.
