Fereshta Omar is a co-founder and director at Oxus Academy, a digital educational platform designed to deliver Primary and secondary Education to girls in Afghanistan. Fereshta is also a Humanitarian Team Leader at the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office.
Fereshta is a Psychology Graduate who brings a wealth of experience from a dynamic career that spans the private, public, and third sectors. Her impactful contributions include roles at Accenture, the Ministry of Justice, the Department for International Development, and her current position at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
A visionary leader, Fereshta has co-founded a groundbreaking digital platform aimed at delivering primary and secondary education to girls in Afghanistan, with an ambitious vision to extend its reach to conflict zones worldwide. Fereshta has also been instrumental in establishing the Afghan Professionals Network, a platform dedicated to empowering the Afghan diaspora in the UK.
