Muzaffar Djalalov is the Rector of Inha University in Tashkent, a leading international institution in Uzbekistan that specialises in IT technology and innovation. Appointed as the youngest rector in the country’s history at the age of 32, he plays a crucial role in advancing the digital and educational transformation of Uzbekistan.
Mr. Djalalov began his career in 2006 as a researcher at the Center for Scientific, Technical, and Marketing Research of the State Enterprise ‘UNICON.UZ’. Over the next decade, he rose to the position of Deputy Director. He then joined the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies, where he coordinated major international projects in education and technology for more than five years.
In his current role, Muzaffar Djalalov focuses on fostering international collaborations, enhancing academic programmes, and preparing students for successful global careers in IT and AI. Under his leadership, Inha University in Tashkent has become a hub of innovation and academic excellence.
At the age of 21, Muzaffar Djalalov graduated from Tashkent University of Information Technologies (BSc in technology). He then pursued further studies at Yeungnam University in South Korea (MSc in IT Engineering). He is recognised as one of Uzbekistan’s TOP-35 young leaders by the ‘Yuksalish’ movement in 2019-2020.
By participating in the EdTech Fellowship, Mr. Djalalov seeks to leverage cutting-edge technology to further the transformation of educational systems. He is committed to driving innovation in education and fostering strategic partnerships with global leaders to explore new opportunities for cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange. Through this platform, he aims to contribute to the advancement of global educational practices, while bringing valuable insights and expertise to the Fellowship community.
