Willie Shawa
Principal Standards Officer, e-Government Division of the SMART Zambia Institute, Zambia
Mr Willie Shawa is Principal Standards Officer for Technical Services and E-Government Division -SMART Zambia Institute. He has a master’s degree in Computer Science from North West University (Republic of South Africa) and a background as a secondary Computer Science teacher.
As part of his role, Willie is responsible for developing ICT standards to support the implementation of ICT systems, digital literacy programmes for disadvantaged students, and the development of a learning management system (LMS) for public schools.
Willie also works part time as a Computer Science lecturer at the National Institute of Public Administration. He is currently working to develop a Minimum Viable Architecture for Public Service.
